Creativity is Contagious

It’s hard to be creative. To share an intimate piece of what makes you different, in a world that applauds conformity can be difficult. Our outdated operating systems to avoid judgement at all costs has helped us survive as a species. We need creative courage.

But, our instincts have not kept pace with inflation. No longer will we be launched into the tundra and freeze to death, or get eaten by a sabre toothed tiger, if we speak our mind and stand out.

In fact, it’s the opposite.

Courage to express ourselves is hard when we feel judgment from others as deeply as physical pain.

Those who step out of their comfort zone, raise their hands to share an opinion, dress the way they want and pioneer new ways of doing things are celebrated. How do they do it? Practice.

In the months leading up to the launch of my first book (title TBD! Can’t rush creativity!) I have developed a comprehensive program to help you find your voice and take a risk to stand out.

So, each month (Started in August), there is a monthly theme to support each of the easy creativity habits in a few minutes a day. D.A.N.C.E – Daydream, Ambiguity, Novelty, Curiosity and Edit Later.

Each week there is a dare that supports the monthly theme. I tell you about the dare, why we are doing it, and do it myself on the video. Then it’s your turn!

You must do it. Don’t watch. Don’t be a bystander of your own life. This will help you take small risks, I promise. Practice makes perfect.

Everyone is Creative. It’s a fact.

I have also curated an impressive and diverse list of guests in traditionally “non creative” roles. My guests join me each week live for 30 minutes. We discuss how and why they engage their creativity to become a better human. It might give you some ideas and inspiration for yourself.

From a NASA engineer, to an HR Director, to a Change and Project Management professional to a CEO of a medical psychedelics company, these people will share the role creativity has played in their success.
